«The White Bird Inn,« is one of Morris’s three Chinese tales. It appeared in the January 1915 issue of The Theosophical Path under the pseudonym of Quintus Reynolds. In it, Morris gently suggests for the first time one of his favorite themes: that book-learning is not an adequate substitute for the experience of life.
