From the end of the 1970s to the beginning of the 1980s, over a period of six short years, Eric Ladd painted several SF&F covers.
a Vermont born artist who was known for a number of his covers throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He worked frequently with artists such as Elizabeth Lynn, Larry Niven, Jack Vance, Cordwainer Smith, and others. There’s not a lot known about his life, although he seems to have ended up in Rhode Island in the mid-1990s, after retiring from the genre art world.
He had long dropped out of cover art, by the mid 80s, and went into more private and kind of abstract fine art work whilst he worked days for the State of Rhode Island on construction sites for the Division of Highways
